The Relatable God
God knows how to relate
Jesus knows
Why? Because he was 100% human and 100% divine.
He felt everything that we ever felt. As it says in Hebrews:
“Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”
Hebrews 2:18 NIV
He knows our feelings, he knows our temptations he knows everything. You could argue “oh well since he is the son of God then he didn’t have that much fear since he already knows where he’s going after death and he’s already been to heaven before”
Yes, that is exactly right. He knows who created him and he knows where he is going. But Jesus came down to earth and died for us to give us his faith! His spirit! His courage! His eyes and feet!! His Courage! So that is why we have to be confident in the name of the Lord and know where we have been, who created us, and where we are going!!! We have to borrow his faith! We can move as he moved! But he lives inside of us and guides us every step of the way! He actually said we can do greater things because he lives inside of us
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father”" John 14:12
So what is there to fear?!! Death?! Your Job?! Your Health?! Your Finances?! That has been defeated! We already have the victory!
Money? And clothes? He said do not worry as the sparrows don’t worry and aren’t they worth more than you?
Tomorrow?
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” Matthew 6:34
What do we have to worry about as Christians? Christians need to be the happiest and most courageous people on this earth because we are confident of who God is and what he can do in our lives and the lives of others.
So let’s remember Jesus was just like us. But we can be just like him.
