Fam, let’s shoot our shot in 2025!! This is a crazy statistic. Do you know who had the most MISSED shots in basketball? LeBron James, and the 2nd? Kobe Bryant. And the 9th on that list is Michael Jordan.
But people know them by the shots they made not the shots they missed….
A champion frames his life by his wins not his failures or losses. Their wins outweighed the failures.
In evangelism for the 99 people that rejected you all it takes is ONE for heaven to rejoice and make all your work worth it.
God looks at us through victory not our past or our failures. You know how I know:
Look at Peter. Denying Jesus 3 times, cutting a guards ear off before Jesus arrest and leaving Jesus before he was crucified
But Jesus still called him and said on THIS ROCK I build my church. And in the book of Acts the Holy Spirit used Peter to preach and save 3,000 people in one time. Your past WILL NOT cancel your calling.
Most of the Bible was written by murderers. Moses, David and Paul. The blood of Jesus is enough. Nothing can surpass the blood.
We have to reframe our failure. Champions make a missed shot a “lesson” and pivot while the quitters never try again make it a “tombstone” and a burial. And every time the quitters think of that missed shot, they say “yeah remember that time I missed that shot I will never try again”. God wants you to try again today. He wants you to get up again. Don’t quit.
As we see in basketball, the more shots you take the more chance you have of being successful. In evangelism, the more people you speak to the more chances you give Jesus to save people through you. In other words, the MORE you DO the MORE you can DO. And if you make a mistake, PIVOT. Don’t make it a tombstone. Don’t make it a graveyard. Make it a LESSON.
Maybe instead of stopping at your failure, God is asking you to adjust your strategy and increase your knowledge or just do more. Many times it is a numbers game.
Imagine if you shoot just one shot a day. That’s 365 shots. 365 seeds planted for the kingdom of God! Some will water, some will plant but God brings the increase!!!
The enemy and religion want you to focus on the past and your failures but God wants you to focus on your wins and on him. Jesus blood outweighs everything you’ve done.
What’s stopping you today? Fear of man is a snare. Remember you if they reject you, they reject Christ. If God is for you who can be against you? As David said, what can man really do to you?
The more shots you take the better you get. You have to be willing to fail to succeed. In order to be right you have to be willing to be wrong. Be a champion today 🏆
