The Unrealistic God

Unrealistic God?

You’re being unrealistic, someone told me.

What is realistic? There is no such thing as being unrealistic.

I had a guy who once told me about a certain matter that there was no way I could do what I set out to do. But then he saw my history and saw I actually did more than what he thought he can do or can I do. So his expectations were way lower than my expectation for me. You see people often put their limits on you because of what they CAN’T do not on what you CAN do.

This is the thing, there is no such thing as a goal or an idea as being unrealistic. Our father God is the author of being unrealistic. Because he created reality. What is reality anyway? He said in Mark 11:23

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:23-24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This is God is telling us to move mountains into the sea and not to doubt it. Do you know how “unrealistic” that is? Do you know how hard it is to move a mountain into the sea and not doubt it? But he always asks us to believe, even if it seems unrealistic.

This is the God that spreads the waters, created the earth, heals the blind, heals the sick, turns water into wine, a couple of fish into thousands and I can go on and on. That same spirit and power we have inside of us and you’re telling me you can’t go 50 days without something? Now your little goal seems unrealistic to me! And to God's standards!

God did not give us a spirit of indiscipline or timidity but of power love strength, discipline, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

When we get a vision or dream from God we have to believe we can have it. The best Christians are receivers. We have to receive God's love, power, gifts, and grace.

He can do it. He can do it through us.

What is the root word for realistic? Well, it is rooted in the word “physical”. So basically when you say realistically you are saying physically but we are called by God to live by faith, not by sight. We are called to live in the spirit, not in the flesh! The biggest powers and forces are actually invisible so you can’t see them. God is invisible here on earth so you’re saying if you want to be realistic you can’t believe in God? We have to believe the unseen. This is the definition of faith. Wow, so when you are being realistic that means you haven't seen it or it hasn't been done before. But that’s the opposite of faith! The definition of faith in the bible is “ Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”. So if you have faith you have to be “unrealistic” and believe in something you do not see.

You can tell yourself realistically God won’t do it

Realistically you will stay at a job you hate

Realistically you won’t reach your goals

But how about this:

Thorough God I can do all things

With God I can reach my goals and dreams

With God I will find a fulfilling career?

This is how God has called us to think LIVE by faith and not by sight. Proverbs tells us don’t be wise in our own eyes! We have to trust the Lord with all our heart and lean not in our OWN understanding.

What in your life today would you like to change?

God is the author of Making the unrealistic into possibilities

What thing in your life do you think was unrealistic? How can you turn that into a possibility?

Make goal. Weekly, monthly and yearly. Remember a dream without a goal is just a wish.

Believe that you can move the mountain and you will. Believe you will reach your goal and you will.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Philippians 4:13

Let’s get this legacy.

I was on the train and it was a delayed train. It was suppose to be express but then it turned local because of signal problems. There was this man on the train that was angry, complaining and hitting his leg every-time the MTA conductor made an announcement. He was saying “The MTA is always this and that etc”

Well let me tell you something, I have gotten frustrated like that before and it ruins your energy and day. Why? words have immense power. Words have authority to either create life or death. Whatever you say is bound to happen. If you say you will have a great day, you will. If yo say you will have a bad day, you will. The thing is on this train we were going the same direction to the same destination. I was actually writing this while I was on the train lol. We are going to the same destination but he will show up agitated, distressed and angry and I will show up in peace, joy and have written a blog post to help and give insight to others. Don’t you see? Same destination different mindset. The train was taking longer than usual. What situation in your life is taking longer than usual? Finances? Finding a new spouse? Getting a new job? A breakthrough in your career? It’s all about how you wait. And when I mean wait I don’t mean do nothing. You still need to work hard and achieve results but its about HOW you wait. Are you going to wait complaining? Or are you going to take that energy and use it to increase your value in the marketplace? You always have two roads and two choices. Always choose the narrow road. Even though it’s harder in the beginning it is always way more fulfilling in the end.

What did the guy get after complaining, huffing and puffing? Nothing. What did I get from staying calm and taking advantage and writing something? ALOT. Writing this gave me another idea for another book and also more growth and insight for myself. Now I don’t think I am better than that guy or anything like that. We are all equal in the eyes of God. But I am speaking about action and principles. When you live and abide in biblical principles, you will always achieve better and more peaceful results.

Remember when you complain you remain the same.

Matthew 7:13-14

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Let Him Know

3 Things to start with:

Are you honest with God?

Go boldly to the throne.

Get into a state of gratitude.

Hezekiah was one of the most righteous kings of Judah, and it was almost his time to die. The prophet Isaiah came to him as it says in the word on 2 Kings 20:

“In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭20:1, 3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As the prophet Isaiah was leaving he got a word from God to go back and tell Hezekiah that he will live and there will be 15 years added to his life!

As we walk through life we have to have the mindset of Hezekiah in prayer and in life knowing what we have done right in the eyes of the lord but also what we deserve. As Jesus said when we ask we receive. If we keep knocking the door will open. Do we have Shameless Audacity? One of my favorite stories from Jesus was about shameless audacity:

“Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:5, 7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love this story because it goes to show you how to get things done and how to get what you want in life. If the guy didn’t knock on the door then he wouldn’t have gotten bread and starved, but he did not care. He had the “no shame in my game” mindset and went for it.

After Jesus explained the shameless audacity verse he said:

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:9-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I love this because it goes to show you whatever you look for you will find, good or bad! If you look at the bad traits of your partner you’re going to get more of it. If you look at the good traits of your partner, you’re going to get more of them. The same goes for life, if you count up all the negative things in your life, you will receive more of it, if you count up the positive and the blessings in your life, you will receive more of it. What filter are you looking out of?

But we have to ask God every single day of our needs, keep knocking and never stop and tell him how much we have done for him. And he will honor your faith. Persistence is KEY.

In 2 Kings 20: 4-6 God honored Hezekiah’s faith. “Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him: “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now, you will go up to the temple of the Lord. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭20:4-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This also does not mean to always complain to God. God’s will for us is to be grateful to him and for him. Everything good that has happened in our lives and everything good that we have is a gift from God. We have to thank him every day. Being in a state of gratitude attracts more gifts, great people, opportunities, and benefits. Being in gratitude is an upward spiral while being in a state of discontentment is a downward spiral. If you’re not grateful for what you have just take a ride on the NYC subways and see all the homeless people, go to your nearest hospital, and see kids with cancer and people without legs or arms. If you’re not grateful for what you have, go to your nearest shelter and see people who just had a bad break and have no opportunities to feed their families. If you are blessed, it is not to keep it to yourself, it is to bless and help someone else. We are called to be stewards of our joy and blessings. This is so we can help and bless someone else. God helps people through people. Coats, food, and money does not automatically just fall from the sky. It takes someone who feels love in their heart to take action. Remember as James says in the Bible faith without works are dead.

Action Steps:

  1. What can you be honest with God about?

  2. How can you help fix that problem? What are your solutions? What will you do?

  3. What are 3 things, people, or situations that you are grateful for?

Do You Have Faith? Do You Have Goals?

Do You Have Faith? Do You Have Goals?

Jesus said he’s looking for people that have faith, not a church, not rules not religion.

As apostle Paul says “ Not that I have already arrived at my goal but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold o me”

What is our ultimate goal? I know for me it’s to be like Jesus in every area of my life that means being holy, strategic, generous, kind, and always taking action.

There is a quote that says if you don’t have a plan then you have a plan to fail. Many Christians, unfortunately, say “ Oh I’m going to wait on the Lord and then they go back and watch Netflix and eat a pint of ice cream” They don’t set an action plan or target, they just let it be. How do I know? I used to be one of them and was surrounded by many of those people. But I was having a conversation with my friend the other day and we were like man, look at many of the people who believe in God and love Jesus but never lived a victorious life. Why is this? To me, I think it all boils down to boldness, fear, and discipline. Fear robs people’s lives and you can’t live a victorious life in fear and have no discipline.

I have learned yes wait on the Lord but I will wait on the Lord in the middle of every set of the gym, in between every cold call and email to acquire the business, and in the midst of setting my targets. In the middle of taking action and increasing my output, I will wait on the Lord. And many times I don’t wait I actually expect good things to happen right there and then. Like right now. You can see my favorite action verses here, but even apostle paul said you have to take advantage of every opportunity and if you don’t work you should not be able to eat!

But I have learned it’s more about having faith and expecting! Expecting his promises to come to life. Saying every day, I wonder what miracle will happen today? I wonder how great my life will be today? Thank you in advance for using me, God! This is the type of mindset we need to have. Not the cautious “ oh God I hope you do something today” NOOO. The word was written and it's already finished. The glory and the promises of God are already finished! We already have the victory and we need to rehearse the victory every single day.

Paul says in Philippians 3:12

“Not that I have already obtained all of this or have arrived at my goal but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”

What is our goal this year? We need a goal. Life is a game and with no goal, there is no purpose in playing. Whether it’s to lose 10 pounds, start a business, increase our income. A goal will keep us on the path to action and on the right road. Like Andrew Carnegie said without a goal we become drifters. And many people live that way. Imagine you show up to a baseball game and there were no runs scored. Imagine if you were at a soccer game and there were no goals on each side of the field and the players are just kicking the ball around, that is how you live your life without a goal! At the minimum, if you don’t know what you want in life at least makes it your goal to be the best version of yourself and like Jesus. Be kind, help people, be disciplined in your thoughts, think right towards people, and if you have a job be the best employee of all time.

God does not want us to drift, he wants us to have a goal, something to aim for, and a vision. As it says in the bible, without vision people perish. Put that vision in front of us and work towards it, every single day. Straining and pressing towards the mark. Now obviously your goal does not always have to be financial or even career-related. It could be to stop gossiping, starting volunteering a certain amount of times per week but what I have learned is that everything is connected and if we don’t have a goal or at least a direction for every single area of our lives it will be lead astray and that part of our lives will drift. When one area of our lives becomes diminished then all our other areas need to overcompensate for the low levels of the other area.

Just like when we have weakness in the body, for example, if I have a weak left knee that might mean that my thigh or my ankle needs to start doing extra work which can result in an injury of my ankle or overuse of my thigh or hamstring. Another example is if I only work on my career and not work on my health or relationships, what will happen is my career will go good up to a point when I can’t work anymore because my body can’t function properly because I am sick and I am also emotionally drained because my relationships at home aren't good. You see, we have to look at life as a pie chart and make sure that each area is sufficient. Only when all areas of our life are working together is when the wheel of life can spin.

But I will leave you with this, you don’t have to be perfect to be used by God. God equips the called and calls the equipped. He does both, the more prepared you are for an opportunity the easier it is for you to take advantage of it.

Success is opportunity + preparation.

Another formula is MINDSET + A GOAL + DISCIPLINE = SUCCESS

God wants us to be successful. In Genesis, it says “ Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may RULE over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and overall the creatures that move along the ground.” God called us to RULE and DOMINATE.

Action steps: Don’t make this complicated, take out a blank paper and write your top 3 goals for this year. And then write what you have to do daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly to achieve them. Lastly, write a date or deadline when you will achieve this goal. And work on it EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Are you ready to dominate 2021? LET’S GO

GOD BLESS

Why Jesus? Why The Bible?

Before I even get to my testimony I want to start of my saying with Jesus

  1. I have peace

  2. I Live in victory

  3. I have Discipline & power

  4. I have power and purpose

  5. A better life

More on this in a bit …

To start off, I’m not one of these judgmental people who believe in Jesus that is going to tell you, you’re going to hell. Only God can judge and what you do or anyone does is none of my business. It’s none of our jobs to judge someone’s life. Your path is your path, my path is my path. I am here to actually walk out why Jesus came to this earth in the first place: To show God’s love in action. I am here to walk the “narrow path” as he says in the word.

Jesus' biggest commandment was to love God with all your heart and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. Unfortunately even people who believe in Jesus still create division and hate than they do love. I want to say boldly that I try and even though I am not perfect to exemplify loving people no matter what religion, race, background, gender, views, and sexual identity. Jesus used to eat with people who the religious people called “sinners”. Jesus’s enemy was actually the religious people (the Pharisees) during his time because the religious people held people to a standard that they themselves could not meet and were “hypocrites” and judged them for breaking any of the laws. (Isn’t this how we can be sometimes? Look at others people's lives and not our own?) The religious people actually killed him because what came out of his mouth was truth and they were jealous. (Isn’t that how many religious people are now today? They hate on people who aren’t in the church, but sometimes people outside the church are actually doing great for their communities and the world, but just because they don’t say Jesus in every sentence and don’t go to church then the religious people think they must be doing it wrong” But this is why Jesus died on the cross. To break the law. To break religion. To show what’s really real. To show the actual truth. Before Jesus, the people would need to sacrifice animals for their sins, now all we have to do is repent to God through Jesus for our sins. Also sidenote, sin is not this religious thing you think it is, sin is just another word for missing the mark of perfection. The only person that can be perfect is God. But I do know we can strive for perfection and that’s a fact. For example, if I’m at work and I curse someone out, what I will do as a follower of Jesus? I have to recognize “ok I missed the mark”, let me apologize to my coworker but also let me pray to God for repentance but also for wisdom on how to react in that situation next time. Repentance meaning, changing my mind and making a decision to do better, and acknowledging missing the mark in front of God. But we have to remember, he did not come to condemn us. As it says in the word. There is no condemnation in Jesus Christ. He came so we can live life fully and abundantly.

This is why we need Jesus, as believers and non believers we will miss the mark even if we don’t physically do it we may be doing it in our thoughts or even motives sometimes. We are not perfect and we need someone perfect to give us and cover us in his grace. When we miss the mark we are covered by Jesus sacrifice on the cross. That’s why the Bible explains there is no condemnation in Jesus Christ. Shame and feeling bad about ourselves is from the enemy not from God. Without Jesus how then do you get over shame or a big mistake or sin? You really can’t do it on your own. That’s why the Bible says you can’t work your way to heaven all you have to do it believe in Jesus. This is one thought. But then the second ideology is some people treat Jesus like an an insurance plan but Jesus just didn’t die for us on a cross so we can just go to heaven. That makes no sense. He died for us so WE CAN VICTORY IN OUR LIVES ON EARTH. As Jesus said himself he came so we can live life full and abundant.

As Joyce Meyer said:

“When we receive Jesus as our Savior, it is not merely so we can go to heaven when we die, but so we can live in freedom and victory when we are on earth”

A little about my story, I had 50k followers on Instagram, I was with the cool kids, I was a “cool kid” with the celebrities, always getting free clothes, trips and perks but none of that fulfilled me. All of that stuff actually got me sick physically, mentally and spiritually. The only thing that fulfilled me was the Holy Spirit, living through biblical principles and God’s love. That is when I started to experience transformation and saw the contrast between living through the strength of the Holy Spirit and his wisdom vs living through my own strength and wisdom. I saw the difference between purpose and clout chasing. I saw the difference between hustling and working effectively. I saw the difference between truth and lies. I saw the difference between living with Jesus and living without Jesus and the difference was night and day. I learned the worst day with God is still better than the best day without him.

Around 2018 I was I was not in a great place mentally spiritually or physically. I was pretty much at the end of myself. I have tried everything I knew possible to “be the best version of myself, be successful and make it” and it wasn’t working at all. This includes other religions, ideologies and also no religion. I had chronic fatigue, I was basically broke and I was always getting dizzy spells because of my health, it was hard for me to do things for a long period of time. Also around this time, I was on Instagram a lot and most of my time trying to build my influencer career. But I didn’t realize at the time that Instagram was ruining my energy, destiny and health. I know that’s not the case for everyone with Instagram or social media but for me, that was case. Everyone is called to different paths and some things are for some people and some things are not.

Around this time I knew I needed to go to church because that was my only option at the time. I was basically desperate. So that’s what I did. I started going to Hillsong NYC on a consistent basis. I have gone before once or twice but never every Sunday. What I learned from my successes and successful people is that you can’t just do something once and expect it to all of the sudden work, healing and transformation take time. You cant undo all the years of horrible habits in just one shot, it takes time. It’s like going to the gym once and expecting a six-pack. What I didn’t realize at the time was since I was going to church and experiencing the presence of God my heart was changing slowly but I was seeing the changes in how I look at my life, my body, and my relationships. When you change your heart, everything else changes. Everything you do or think flows from the heart.

At times I had the following setbacks (which I know call setups or problems are just opportunities in disguise) which God healed today.

 He healed my bad health

He healed my rocky relationships with my parents

He healed my insecurity and gave me power

He healed my ineffective actions and taught me to become more effective

He healed my Bell’s palsy (paralyzed face) I had for a summer, which many people have for life.

He put away the unnecessary and gave me purpose

He took away my silly thinking and gave me wisdom and knowledge

He healed my procrastination to always taking action inspire of fear

He healed my self-doubt and insecurity and gave me confidence and power

He healed undisciplined habits and gave me self discipline

He made me into a real man and no longer a boy

He gave me forgiveness and I forgive everyone who has done wrong to me

HE GAVE ME RIGHT THINKING, SOUND JUDGEMENT, OUR MIND IS THE BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND, what we think is what we do and what we do becomes our habits and our habits eventually becomes our life

But the most important thing he has given me is peace! Out of my experience and just learning from famous and successful people, money cannot buy your peace. Peace is that feeling of inner tranquility and joy that comes from no one else but God. “As Jesus says my peace I give you not as the world gives” even when I face huge challenges in my life, even when everything was going right then out of nowhere I get Lyme disease and Bell’s palsy I felt so much peace and experienced his presence. When you know where you are going after you die and when you feel his Holy Spirit presence there’s nothing more peaceful and better than that. This is why people love coming to church because you feel that peace and Holy Spirit but peace and jay (a calm delight)

God is good

I know I was talking about people who go to church earlier but the church is actually the best thing you can do ( if it’s a Holy Spirit-filled church) because God’s presence will fill your whole body sometimes to tears and you will be rejuvenated for the rest of the week. Sometimes you don’t know what can happen or change in an instant when you have the presence of God and in a room filled with faith. And you can meet a great community of people that can help you or you can help them which in turn still helps you. (Our purpose in this life aside from our careers is to love and help people, if you didn’t get anything else from this that’s all you need) What I meant as far as the religious people is that they think just because they go to church they are better than people who are not or they go to church just to check a box and not actually have a relationship with Christ. I would rather you have a daily relationship with Christ, read the Bible every day rather than go to church just to “check a box”. But as believers we carry church everywhere we go. There is no separation between secular and sacred. And how do I know about all of this? Well because for a season I felt like I was that person who went to church to check a box or felt superior because I went to church. We have to be super humble we know God does know show favoritism. But there’s are benefits. As you are reading this you are probably sensing tension and a conflict between two worlds and ideologies. And that’s correct. As people who love Jesus, we need to “be in the world and not of it” we need to love our neighbors as ourselves. We need to go to Church, have a ( relationship) with Christ be confident and courageous but then be humble and know we are not better than anyone as well. It’s the art and balance of holding two ideas in your mind at once.

The church is the bare minimum as a Christian. We have to go out in the world and actually walk it out and help and love people.

Do you want man-made knowledge and wisdom? Or knowledge and wisdom that created the foundation of the earth

Do you want to build your life rock solid or do you want to build something that is blown away by the wind?

Something I have been struggling with is communicating my faith to non-believers or people who don’t believe in Jesus or Christianity and how to make it relatable but also appealing to them. But we have to remember to put ourselves in their shoes. We can’t be using all of this sanctified lingo with them at first they won’t understand it or will they want to hear it. Thank God for Carl Lentz, Joyce Meyer, and Joel Osteen that showed me how to use the Bible in everyday life. To win in every circumstance. God came to earth so we can enjoy our life not just live our religious dogma bro.

The Bible shows you

How to win in your thinking

How to win in your actions

How to win in treating others

How to win in business and finances

How to win in experiencing peace, love, and joy in your soul

How to win in your relationships

The Bible will teach you how to be a victorious human being

Before Jesus’ time the people of Israel needed to sacrifice animals for their sins but because Jesus died they no longer have to do that. All you have to do is pray to God for repentance for Jesus

So …

Why Jesus? Why the Bible?

With Jesus and the Bible, you can live a better and effective life.

The Bible teaches you how to live a more effective, prosperous life.

The stories and wisdom can and will change your perspective.

It’s like this I don’t do the Keto diet just because I love the keto diet.

I don’t say I love the Keto diet because I have to sacrifice carbs. I love the keto diet because it’s just the Keto diet.

No, you love the keto diet because of the results you have gotten and how you feel on it.

Same with Jesus

I came to Jesus because I received better results. Not just miracles in my life in general, but in my health, relationships, mentality, career, and mentality. Living with less fear and living with more power and authority. Now I am not saying your life will be perfect, hence sometimes you may experience more problems but that is because he wants to show you everything beneath the surface that needs to fall or be unlearned first in order to live an extraordinary life.

The Bible is basically an instructional manual for life on how to live, how to treat others, and most of all on how to think. It strengthens our souls and increases our wisdom.

You will be more prosperous and successful as you learn what he has taught, how to conduct yourself, your business, and your daily life. You become a spiritual warrior.

We just don’t need physical food we need mental and spiritual food as well.

It changes your thinking

It opens and changes your heart

It cleanses your soul

It nourishes and grows your character, integrity, and ethics

It demonstrates the big picture

It teaches you about Jesus

About how he came to love people and not condemn them. He sat with sinners and not with the saints. He was never on the same team as the religious people but actually opposed to them for the standards they held people to. It shows you that Jesus was a rebel against the rules that were made for thousands of years. (In order to break the rules you gotta know the rules) He came so we can have eternal life and live life abundantly not in fear, not in anxiety, and not lost. He came to show us God’s love for people. How God’s love in action looks like.

It brings you back to your original nature when you were a child. When you were a child you had unlimited creativity, you had joy and you were curious about the world. When you encounter the Holy Spirit and his peace it will change you from the inside out and the outside in. It will cause transformation. The true lasting transformation from mindset, to how you talk to how you act every single day.

Gives you faith to live your dreams. When you have a vision or a goal and you believe in God you now know you have the power and support from God to go for your dreams. If the dream is in your heart then God already has a path for the dream and vision. This doesn’t mean that there will be no bumps on the road or detours. With every great movie and game there’s always opposition so expect that but God has given you power to face the opposition with victory. Claim it and rehearse it in your mind and then you will see it in your life.

You will know and feel the truth in every situation. You will sense a pure spirit vs an evil spirit. You will get the discernment you need to win at life but also the discernment for relationships, people, opportunities, business etc.

It will save you time. God is an effective God when he guided you he just doesn’t want to guide you because he is God he wants to guide you because it’s for your benefit as well. And when your take aligned action with the God who created the universe nothing and no one can stop you because God is on your side. He will let you know whether to take the job or not take the job. Whether to go on that date or even if that person is right for you. He will give you all the answers and all you have to do is obey.

The main reason many people don’t live in victory is that they are not living in obedience. When God tells you to do something and puts it on your heart you have to do it that day. We cannot delay. This is why he gave us daily bread, if we wait until tomorrow the bread will be stale. It’s like the woman who poured our a years wages worth of perfume on Jesus when she saw him, she knew it was her only chance. Sometimes opportunities are once in a lifetime and we have to act now. When we live in obedience we experience miracles and live a life in the will of God but also a peaceful one. God wants to save you from the way of how culture moves, God moves and builds differently. Even though it’s hard, we have to trust him every step of the way and follow the spirit.

The truth. You won’t have to be searching YouTube and the internet for ancient wisdom or “new” wisdom on life. As it says in the word there is nothing new under the sun. Don’t you want to live your life according to the principles that the earth was founded upon? That’s following Jesus. We don’t have to go by the wisdom of the people who come up with a new ideology about life when we have the answers in the Bible.

No shame and forgiveness

Jesus died so we could never feel shame, shame is from the devil. And we are eternally forgiven but he gives us the heart to forgive others that also heals us.

God gives us self-discipline and control. As it says in the bible “God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, strength, self-discipline and a sound mind ”. All the things I wanted to do and was procrastinating on before I committed my life to Christ again, now I am actually doing or have done those things. Because the spirit of God will guide you to do it and you will be miserable if you don’t do it because you know you are called to go and live higher.

As it says in the bible : See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ” Colossians 2:8. A lot of “philosophy and wisdom of the world is actually baloney and might sound good nut will put you in a trap in the end.

Religious people follow all the rules and regulations and don’t help anyone. But God maybe loves the people who don’t necessarily follow all the rules and regulations but help people.

Have peace knowing that this life is only training for eternal life in heaven. This world is all broken, with lies, deceit, death, and I can go on for days. But Jesus promised us eternal life in heaven where there will be no more suffering and we will be with God forever. But we have to remember Jesus just didn’t die on the cross for us to go to heaven, he came so so can have victory and eternal life on this earth.

If you read this all the way through it’s not by chance. It happened for a reason.

You can change your life if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior

Pray this with me

Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus name. Amen.

Feel free to reach out if you want prayer

TAKE ACTION TODAY (My favorite action verses)

TAKE ACTION TODAY!  A couple of my favorite verses on action below. Are you waiting on God or is God waiting on you? God already equipped us and gave us authority. Everyday is another day to claim it. Faith will inform your action and your action will inform your faith. These verses below go along with my latest blog post WTF (Faith) here.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1:5-6, 8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

““Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:23-24‬ ‭NIV

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

‭‭James‬ ‭2:20-22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.  For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

2 Thessalonians 3:7-10

“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it “

Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.

Proverbs 20:4

“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

‭‭James‬ ‭2:14-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

2 Timothy 1:7

Why We Need Strategy

Strategy

Strategy

Strategy

That is what we need.

Yes Jesus died for us

Yes we have eternal life

But we also have a duty here on this earth. Ya feel me?

You can love Jesus all you want but if you are constantly late to work you will be fired.

You can love Jesus all you want but if you eat like crap and don’t take care of your body you will get sick.

You can love Jesus all you want but if you treat people harshly your relationships will suffer.

As Christians, you need to combine the power of the holy spirit in your life with living in not just spiritual excellence but physical excellence.

God gave his only son so he can save the world not condemn it. That means he wants us to live on earth as it is in heaven. We have the power to do it.

One decision can change everything.

The decision to go to the gym

The decision to get a chicken salad vs Burger King.

The decision to wake up early vs sleep late.

The funny thing is people who aren’t disciplined think living with discipline is torture. Actually, it’s not, it’s the best thing that can happen to you. Living with discipline is freedom and you feel so great doing it while you’re doing it because of the following reasons:

1 . You're being a steward of God’s resources.

2. You're bettering your life

3. Since you bettering your life you're also bettering the lives of others

Remember we cannot fill other people’s cups unless ours is running over

My cup runneth over as it says in psalms

If God called us to follow him that means he wants to help us change and influence the world. Yes, 1 person can do it. God can work through you. Just look at mother Theresa, Mandela, Gandhi, MLK, and so forth. We can do it.

My challenge for you today is what can you do to better your life by 1%?

It doesn’t have to be 50% remember if a plane leaves from New York to Texas and it changes the direction only by 1% over time it’s going to end up in Seattle and not in Texas because of the 1% shift over time.

Do that 1% percent every single day and your life will change.

WTF Faith ( What The Faith Are You Waiting For)

FAITH IS A MUSCLE. You can’t just use faith once a week or once a month. You need to LIVE BY FAITH, WALK BY FAITH EVERY SINGLE STEP, EVERY SINGLE DAY

Many people have religion and not faith. Yes you need righteousness but you need faith because that’s the foundation..

Man let me tell you something straight.

What are you waiting for? If God gave you the vision then why aren’t you pursuing it? 9 times out of 10 it’s always fear. And many of us say we are praying about it which many Christians use for procrastination, I know I did.

This is funny. When I was writing this, I was on the train and as I looked up there was a sign that said “What Are You Waiting For? Join The Fight”  Then on the bottom of the sign, it says “COMBAT COVID”. This is right after I was writing about how God gives signs. Just like how Highways and roads have signs to guide us in the right direction, God will also give us signs to confirm our decisions and direction. God is so good!

But on that note, are you ready to join the fight? Are you ready for combat? Are you ready for war? I’m going to tell it like it is. If you’re not ready for any one of those, you might need to build up your strength and perspective to truly enter God’s promises and his purpose for your life. How I know? I used to be a Pinterest Christian knowing thinking God is a genie in a bottle and because I believe in him nothing bad will happen. That was not the right perspective and I lacked strength because if something bad did happen I would blame God, blame someone or blame myself but here is what I realized: if God allows anything “bad” to happen that means it is used to strengthen us or give us a revelation. God’s will is for us to conform to his image. In order for us to be used by God at the maximum potential we need to be strong, courageous and meditate on God's word day and night as it says in Joshua 1:9.

As Paul said:

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Hebrews 12:11

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

Hebrews 12:12

After studying the Bible and the stories of David and Joshua these men were used by God in war and battle. Ok, so you may not be fighting a physical war in physical combat but we are always fighting a spiritual war every single day. This is why God urges us to put on the armor of God so that we are protected and we can be prepared for battle.

I was having a conversation with my friend and she kept saying if it’s Gods will I will do this, If it’s Gods will I will do that. She was in a state of confusion and no direction. Basically, she wasn’t going to take action until she knew God’s will (which is not faith) but many times we can only find Gods will if we are taking action. God’s will for us is to be sanctified, to have faith and step out in that faith. WHEN IN DOUBT STEP OUT.

I know many Christians say I will wait until I have peace but no actually we find peace piece by piece. Little by little, step by step. I remember I had to make a decision about my next job opportunity and what I did was walk to both locations and prayed as I went around each location. And the right job opportunity stood out like a sore thumb with the peace that I felt. I actually walked the most steps that day about 13 miles and I found my peace. If I would have stood home it wouldn’t have happened. Now I'm not saying you have to walk 13 miles now lol, but what I am saying is that how bad do you want it? How bad do you want to hear from God? How bad do you want a confirmation from God? How badly do you want God’s promises for your life?

Before the Israelites stepped out on the Jordan River God gave them instructions on what to do. But the river would not stop if they did not take that first step. They could have camped on the edge of the river and stood there but they didn’t. They took the first step and the river stopped in order for them to cross it. Many of us and I’m guilty of this too, we camp on the edge of what God is telling us to do, we camp out on his word. Sometime we got a word from God and hoard it but we know deep down that we need to do it, and that is what pains us every day. Even though we try to distract ourselfs with entertainment, food, work and other activities we know deep down what we need to do next and his word for us. We need the courage and straight up guts. We can’t fake or trick God, he is the truth the life and the way. You can’t out strategize God, he knows more than we know, he knows our path since he created us. This is why it’s so essential to listen and abide by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our helper, guidance system and will guide us into all truth.

What is it today that you need to do? Even if God isn’t giving you the signs or even a word his will for us is to take action because God ,like a quarterback, always hits a moving target not still ones. Yes we need to have an amount of time to be still, pray, read the Bible, and worship everyday but other than that we need to work. And sometimes we need to jump because the net will appear, he is a great catcher (he caught Peter before he drowned when he was walking on water) Even if we are working at a company or industry we are not passionate about we need to remember we are working for the lord and not for man. When you actually work hard for your 9-5 you will actually feel great and have more energy to work on your passion project outside of work. This is because you're living with integrity, you can’t just skim the corners and just get by at work and then decide once you clock out that all of the sudden you’re going to be world class, nope it doesn’t work like that. How we do one thing is how we do everything. When we put in the work day in and day out, obviously with a sabbath, we will gain the discipline that we need in order to run the race that God has given us.

So back to my friend, I told my friend to just take that first step, even if it’s the wrong one God will re- direct you. And don’t be scared to make the wrong one or even be out of God's will because he will honor your faith and let you know if it’s the right direction by giving you peace. We cannot live out of fear, believe me I went through a season where I was fearful of making any decision but that’s not the will of God for us at all. Sometimes as Christians we can get lazy and say ahh God is going to do it anyway, I went through a season where God actually didn’t do it because he was waiting on me. This goes to the point what Joyce Meyer always says, “Do what can do and God will do what you cannot do”. Remember you are in partnership with Christ, we are his co-workers. You have to pick up your own cross every single day as Jesus said.

In the book “Kingdom Man” by Tony Evans, he said God gave us power and authority over our dominion. Just like the football players have power and authority to play within the lines on the field so God has given us a territory to dominate.

But at the end of the day no matter what happens God will always be with us. As God said to Joshua:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.””

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So today go out and do everything God has told you to do. Pick up your cross, remember faith without works are dead. We can see your faith by your actions. Your actions are reflected by your heart.

As it says in proverbs
“As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Our actions stem from from our heart and our heart is conditioned by the renewal of our mind. In other words where are mind goes, our heart goes where our heart goes our feet goes. As Dr. Stanley said “we sow a thought and reap an action. We sow an action and reap a habit, we sow a habit and real a character”

What action will you sow today?

The Heart Game

The Heart Game

How is your heart? You might be asking how is my heart? Seriously bro? What about how is my career? How are my finances? How is my health?

Well my friend, what I have learned on this path with Jesus and studying the Bible is that all our problems and life flow through the heart. From the heart comes our motives, from the heart, comes our desires, from the heart, comes our actions. From the heart, as Jesus said come disease, anger, rage, malice, deceit. But also from the heart comes love, forgiveness, kindness, compassion, etc.

Proverbs 23:24

For above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it

If everything we do flows from the heart, it means we need to guard our heart, we need to protect it, Jesus said he will guard our hearts but we need to do our part too. We need to protect our eyes (what we see), our mouth (what we say), and our ears (what we hear).

As Jesus said “if the eyes are good then our body will be filled with light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness” Matthew 6:22

We need to guard our hearts and filter out the negative and unfruitful things that come into our hearts because these are seeds. We can’t entertain these seeds because they will grow roots in our lives. Many times it’s the entertainment we are entertaining, hello Netflix. To be honest these days I rarely watch anything, only sports, and youtube. It is very rare I will sit down to watch a 2-3 hour movie. This is why it is called entertainment, the definition of entertainment is to “keep someone in a frame of mind”. The point of these movies or shows is to have you feeling or thinking in a certain way and we know that the spirit of God is not in these shows, so what spirit is guiding it if it’s not a pure spirit? I always say “ If I have to question it, then it’s not good for me”. Nothing is static, it’s either up or down. Even though we say we are strong, remember we can’t trust ourselves too much, the flesh is weak. I have noticed that when we entertain content and company that isn’t necessarily bad for us but also isn’t necessarily good for us it will still lead us to make errors in our thoughts which lead to errors in our actions which lead to errors in our habits and then life. We can’t serve two worlds at once. We can’t worship the kingdom and also the world’s way. This is how people slowly drift away from living from the principles of the bible. We have to make sure every decision is done through the lens of Jesus. We can’t let a tree of lust, a tree of unforgiveness, a tree of anything that will hinder us, grow inside of us. We have to cut it out before it grows.

We also have to be careful what comes out of our hearts. So how do things come out of our hearts? Our words, thoughts, and action.

In Matthew 15, It even came to a point when everyone was asking Jesus what kind of food could they could eat, the Pharisees asked Jesus why won’t his disciples wash their hands before they eat because they are unclean and will eat unclean food. Mannnn that’s why I’m not Jesus I don’t know what I would have said to them.

Pharisees back then were this big religious Jewish sect that observed the law. So if someone didn’t observe the law perfectly they would be punished for it, kind of how some religious people are now. Instead of focusing on their walk, we focus on others, but that’s a different convo and I am definitely guilty of that as well.

But back to Jesus, Jesus said to them:

“What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

That’s why we have to be careful of what we say and do because our actions are what defile us. Just because I have a negative thought does not mean I should act on it.

This is why it’s so important to be in a relationship with Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit. When the sanctification process starts your wants and desires start to become more of what God desires and not what you desired or desired before. Because most of the time as humans what we desired never really filled us anyway. So when we renew our mind and ask God to fill us with the Holy Spirit he will make our flesh dead to sin, to the point where if we try to commit the sin we will realize #1 either it won’t feel good or #2 we will be convicted by our spirit after we have committed the sin. This will force us to find more fulfilling actions and guide us to a more fulfilling life.

I have learned if we walk in love every single day, even though it’s a hard walk, it’s so worth it.

Let us not judge others as Jesus said

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For, in the same way, you judge, you will be judged, and the measure you use, it will be measured to you”

God said it’s time to use a new measuring tool! It’s not time to use not a cylinder, not a ruler but GRACE. We can rule judgment with a ruler only GRACE. Give people grace. Love them, see how God sees them.

When we live our lives with open hearts we will feel more love, peace, and blessings.

“But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15:18-20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus Loves Investing

Jesus loves investing because he loves stewardship. He loves what you can do with the little. Because if you do good with little, you can do good with much.

I am writing this is because of the following reasons: I have been convicted of how I view money, what money actually is, what money can actually do for my life and in the life of others for the glory of God.

According to scholars, God talks about money much more in the Bible than many of the topics we hear about. What I have learned is that if we use money strategically,  we can advance our life in a faster way and can also bless others. But what we know sometimes isn’t always what we do and that isn’t wise. The definition of wisdom is the right application of knowledge. Money is energy and time is money. How much money you make is equivalent to the value to add to the marketplace.

To be honest, this season and towards the end of the pandemic, I almost lost sight of the value of the dollar. I started spending over my budget and started taking my paycheck for granted until I hit a hiccup on the road and I was wow wait. “I’m gonna wait on you!” Lol. I’m kidding, I actually needed to take action and not wait. I told myself,  “What have I been doing this whole time?” How have I been living blind? How come I didn’t invest the money in places where it could have been doubled? But I don’t live in regret, I use mistakes as learning experiences. As Michael Jordan said in an interview recently “you can’t win if you don’t lose”.

Through this year I have been investing in my talents, creativity, and my education but not investing in my financial education. I had to remind myself that our finances are the lifeblood of our business and quality of life. There is a saying that being rich won't make you happy but being broke is a passport to misery and that’s so true! With more money, you can bless others, live a better quality of life, do things you have always wanted to do, and help your church. And let’s be honest when you have more money in your account, there is less anxiety. Studies show that after 60k a year money doesn’t increase your happiness, so let’s just say that money doesn’t buy you happiness but the lack of money won’t buy you happiness either. And most of the people and millionaires I have met said that money did increase their happiness because they have more freedom, so let’s not regurgitate sayings that culture loves to pass around.

This takes me to the parables of the talents. The master gives 3 men talents according to their ability. Two of the men doubled their talents and the third man hid his talent. The master said ” the least thing you could have done was give it to the bank so they can double my investment”  Plot twist moment here. God is investing in you! He is giving you talents, abilities, resources, and finances so you can steward them in the most efficient and constructive way. And what happens if we don’t steward these things correctly then we will get it taken away. He wants us to invest in our health, education, talents, investments, real estate, stock market, and others.

As Jesus says “ for whoever has will be given more and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them” Let’s strive to not be the have nots. Let’s show God what we can do with what we have right in front of us and inside of us right now. Like it says in the word he gave us what we need according to our ability and level. I know at the end of my life I want a “ Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness”! Matthew 25: 2

Do you?

Even if you squandered all your money and talents, today is a new day just like the Parable of the Prodigal son how he spent his whole inheritance on prostitutes and wild living. He then became so hungry,  he was going to eat with pigs. But then he became sober and was like “yo what am I doing, I’m about to eat pigs meal but my father back home has everything,  let me just go back!” And that is what he did. His father welcomed him with open arms and didn’t bring up his past, the father gave him everything he needed and more. It was a new day and life for the prodigal son and that is how it can be for you. I always say, “Every day he fills our cup with a new cup of grace.” Let’s be open to receiving that refill.

Amen

The Parable of the Talents

Matthew 25:14-30

14 “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants[a] and entrusted to them his property. 15 To one he gave five talents,[b] to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. 16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. 17 So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. 18 But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. 19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’ 21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.[c] You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 22 And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here, I have made two talents more.’ 23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’ 26 But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

PAPER JAM

Today I am grateful to be alive and to be healthy..jpg

Why does a printer always get jammed?

How can God paint a new picture and do a new work in you if your printer keeps getting jammed?

I researched why printers get jammed most of the time and it’s because of the MISALIGNMENT OF THE PAPER. Bingo. Many times when we get jammed in life it’s because we are not in alignment with God.

Many times the printer gets jammed because there is too much paper in the tray. What’s in your tray? What is going in your body? I hear God saying you need to consume less of the world because that will get you jammed. You need to get rid of those friends because that is what keeps getting you jammed. You need to cut off that sin because that is what’s getting you jammed.

God’s will for us is not to be jammed but if we already have too much on our tray how can God print a new picture in our lives. Many times we settle for black and white while God wants to print our lives in color! He wants to give us a new life! He wants to create a new drawing and picture. He wants to print a new blueprint!

We need to cut off everything that is holding us back, anything that is heavy, anything that is stopping us from moving forward. Anything that is not in alignment with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

How do we get in alignment? We get in alignment by reading the word (Bible), prayer, worship and fellowship with other believers. And this is an everyday consistent basis. In no time you will see yourself becoming in alignment.

But many times we get jammed if we are in alignment with God because we aren’t doing the things he is telling us to do. Whether it's to start a business, launch’s project, write a book, create a song, go back to school, clean up our house or maybe all of those. If you have too many God to do’s in your tray you will be jammed because you need to be obedient and just take action on at least one thing God has been telling you to do. Remember the picture gets printed one by one and many times we try to do all things at once and then we get jammed.

One by one , one step at a time. One seed at a time, one person at a time, one conversation at a time. One prayer at a time. This is how we become the person God wants us to be.

But before God prints the perfect picture for us. We have to pull out the bad sheets first. Sometimes it’s only one bad sheet and many times it’s a lot of bad sheets. In order to move forward and for your printer to run smoothly there can be any bad sheets. Do you have any bad sheets in your life? I urge you to pull it out now and do not delay. This is the day the lord has made and he wants us to live it today. Not yesterday not tomorrow but today.

In order to take out the sheets we have to turn off the computer and sometimes give it 10 minutes to rest. That’s God telling us many times we have to unplug and turn off first in order to hear from God. We have to ask him what is the direction he wants to take us. Where does he want us to go? Who or what does he want us to get rid of?

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As it says here we have to throw off anything that hinders us from God’s purpose and that jams or entangles us.

How can we run our race if we have so much dead weight on us? I have a feeling sometimes it’s not even a physcial thing or a friendship it’s probably unforgiveness or someone you need to say sorry to. If we hold this in, our hear will get hard, but we need to act immediately because if not that feeling will get worse everyday.

As it says later in that passage:

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Growing bitter against someone will cause a major jam in our lives. There is no way to print a beautiful picture in color if we have any root of bitterness. Our root determines our fruit and if our root is bitter then so will our furit. And I don’t like bananas to be bitter. I want it to be sweet. Is there someone we need to be sweet to today? I hear you saying oh but I need to act hard and keep up this wall so I look a certain way. I hear you and I understand you but Jesus said turn the other check and bless and pray for our enemies. It even says in the Bible feed our enemeis! Now I’m not saying to not have boundaries to not cut people off when you need to but there are situations where most of the time if we step up first in forgives the whole relationship can be healed.

Let’s make sure to consecrate ourselves and not step into the darkness with any immorality, filth, sexual immorality etc. Let’s stay Godlly

If your system is jammed you can’t get reception to see what God wants to do next. You need to be clear.

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:5-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Let’s get unjammed.
